How is your summer going?
Hi Fans! If you are like me, your summer has been really busy. So many fun things to do this time of year. 4th of July was especially great as I celebrated my granddaughter Stella’s 1st birthday with a combination 4th of July party. All my favorite food and beverages, but the best part was spending time with all of my children and grandchildren!
We have some really fun events going on this month at the studio. Beginning July 10th, the studio will be opened daily at noon for our Pop in & Paint. We have had all ages of children, teens and adults coming into the studio and finding inspiration from our gallery, or from something meaningful to them. It’s a great way to get out of the heat for a few hours in the afternoon, or spend a rainy afternoon creating some art.
And, we are very excited about our Kids Summer Art Camp July 10 – July 14th. All available weekly spaces have been booked, but we have some openings on individual days. The camp is going to be a fun learning experience for all of the children attending. See calendar of events for daily programs.
If you aren’t able to bring in your children for summer art camp, we are offering weekly sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2-4pm. Check out our calendar of events. We have a lot of new children’s artwork we have created, including a Disney Pixar Car series, Minions, as well as our popular Pokemon and Emojis.
One special event on July 11, from 7-10 is a celebration of sisterhood with a Sorority Night. All attendees will paint 2 versions of their sorority symbols. We have 2 college interns with us for the summer and they have many designs to choose from, and will be available to come up with more ideas based on your specific Sorority. The cost is $25, includes all supplies, 2 canvases (12×16 and 12×12), art instructors, great music, and lots of fun!!! Register on-line via calendar of events.
And… we are having a HUGE Christmas in July celebration on Saturday, July 22 from 7-10pm. There will be 2 fun paintings to choose from to paint, Christmas decor, holiday speciality drinks, photo booth, and a drawing for some cool prizes. The cost is $25 per person and includes all supplies, a 16 x 20 canvas, and 2 art instructors. More details in our calendar. DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS EXCITING EVENING!
As we near the mid-point of summer, and are busy with an endless list of activities, take the time to feed your creative soul and stop by the studio. Bring the kids by for some fun painting projects, share a special date night with your loved one, get your besties together for a girls night out, or spend some special time painting as a family.
The great artist Pablo Picasso said, “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” You may need to wash the paint off of your hands too, but it will be well worth it!
