In-studio Volunteer Appreciation Event for YWCA. Coordinated by Maizah. Approx 35-45 People attending. Canvas painting selection TBD.
Paint Fee of $32 per person is based on hitting a minimum of 30 people. Includes all paint supplies, 12×16 canvas, and apron. Step by step instructions taught by 2 qualified art instructors. No experience necessary. No coupons/discounts accepted for Corporate events.
Doors Open at 11:30am, Paint Session begins at 11:45am, Event Concludes by 2:30pm. Guests can come in 30 minutes early to set up. Paint session start time is flexible based on your other activities.
Location: Creative arts and BYOB studio located at 122 N. Hale St in Historic downtown Wheaton.
Parking: Parking garage is available behind the studio. Heading North on Hale (one-way street), turn left (West) onto Wesley, go 1/2 block and turn into alley on the left. Parking garage is on the right. We request you enter the studio through the front entrance on Hale.
Beverages & Snacks: The Sipping Muse is a BYOB studio and you can bring in any type of beverages and food. Wine/bottle openers available and beverage cups provided. Paper plates/napkins/utensils are provided for snacks. Ice buckets/tubs also available, bring your own ice. Water and soft drinks can be purchased for $1.00.
Alcohol: Must be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages at the studio. We card all guests, please have ID available. We ask that guests under 18 be accompanied by an adult.
Clothing: We use non-toxic acrylic, water soluble paint and do provide aprons, but suggest guests wear casual and comfortable clothes, as well as a short sleeve or 3/4 length sleeve top, as well as to tie back long hair. While the paint will wash off of your hands, it is not always easy to get out of clothing. Sometimes clear-colored hand sanitizer works, or rubbing alcohol. We do keep these items on hand. The Sipping Muse is not responsible for any paint spills on guests personal belongings while in the studio.
Minimum Requirement: The fee of $32 is based on a minimum of 30 guests. If your attendance falls below 30, you will still be responsible for paying for 30 paint fees.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due by 3/22/2020. The deposit is non-refundable since we reserve space at the studio for your group. If you need to reschedule your event, a 7-day notice must be provided and the deposit will be credited for a future event. If 7 days noticed is not provided, deposit is forfeited. Balance of Paint Fees & Gratuity: The balance is due the day of the event, based upon final headcount communicated 2 days prior to the event, less the $200 deposit. Gratuity for your artist will automatically be added to your bill based on 10% of the total amount of the event cost and can be added to your credit card. You will also have opportunity to add additional gratuity. If you require an invoice/receipt, let us know and we can provide one after the event.
